YNH Property Bhd has obtained the development order from Kuala Pilah District Council (MDKP) for a 2,200-unit mixed development township with a total gross development value estimated at RM600 million.

The township, which is located approximately 40km from Seremban, is envisioned to become an economic growth catalyst for the area while catering to the strong demand for quality yet affordable homes.

“The development order we have received from MDKP for this township in Kuala Pilah is an important milestone for YNH Property as it marks our entry into Negeri Sembilan, a high-growth region within the Southern Corridor of Greater Kuala Lumpur,” its GM James Ngio  said in a statement today.

He said YNH Property has a track record of developing 13,000 units of mixed developments in the township of Seri Manjung, Perak since 1982 that had attracted a significant number of residential, retail and commercial interest and also spurred tourism activities in the area.

“We look forward to bringing our proven expertise as well as strong track record in township development to the state (Negeri Sembilan) and we are confident that this new township will contribute towards positive socio-economic growth,” he said.

Ngio said the development of the Kuala Pilah township is expected to contribute positively to the company’s performance over the next five years and the project would also solidify YNH Property’s reputation as a developer of choice for successful townships.

He said phase one of the project, which consisted of 500 residential units, is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2023.

YNH Property shares were unchanged at RM4.97 today, with a market capitalisation of RM2.6 billion.
